In a rematch of Ida County rival basketball teams, the OABCIG boys broke away from a 30-30 halftime tie to earn a hard-fought 10-point victory at 64-54, on Monday, Jan. 15 at Holstein.
It looked like a blowout was in the making on Jan. 2 in Holstein, as the Ridge View boys basketball squad jumped out to a 17-2 lead over visiting Sioux Central after one quarter of play.
The Raptor boys basketball squad got off to a blistering start on Jan. 5 in Holstein, jumping out to a 24-3 lead over Westwood at the end of one quarter.
The Ridge View girls basketball squad hosted the undefeated and #4 rated Rebels of Westwood, on Jan. 5 in Holstein. Westwood got off to a fast start, jumping out to a 9-2 lead after the first quarter.
The Ridge View and OABCIG wrestling squads took part in a four-team meet, at Woodbury Central in Moville on Jan. 4. Ridge View defeated OABCIG 51-18, and was edged out by Westwood 43-42. OABCIG fell to Woodbury Central 51-15.
A fast start propelled the Ridge View girls basketball squad past Manson-Northwest Webster, 54-46, on Dec. 18 in Manson. The Raptors jumped out to an early lead, and doubled up the Cougars 18-9 by the end of the first quarter.
