The Ridge View boys basketball squad got off to a hot start last Monday night in Holstein, building a 25-15 lead over visiting Cherokee after one quarter.
The Cherokee girls basketball squad, ranked 14th in the state, made the trip to Holstein last Monday, to take on the home team Ridge View Raptors. The Braves used an aggressive, full-court defense and jumped out to an early 13-6 lead.
The Ridge View girls wrestling squad has four grapplers ranked in the top 10 in the state of Iowa. The rankings are compiled by the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association (IWCOA).
The Ridge View wrestling squad traveled to Hawarden on Tuesday night, to take on West Sioux and Alta-Aurelia. The Raptors defeated the Falcons of West Sioux (Hawarden) 45-36, and came up just short against the Warriors of Alta-Aurelia, 45-34.
The Ridge View boys basketball squad traveled to Alta on Thursday night, to take on the Warriors of Alta-Aurelia. A hotly contested first quarter ended with the Raptors up 12-11.
The Ridge View lady basketball squad traveled to Lawton on Friday night, and came home with an impressive 80-53 victory. The Raptors were led by Madison Stowater with 25 points and 15 rebounds.
The Ridge View boys basketball squad started the season off right, traveling to Pocahontas and coming home with a 30-point victory on Tuesday night. The Raptors got off to a fast start, outscoring the Indians 21-8 in the first quarter.
The Ridge View Girls Wrestling Team is coming off of a very successful season. They were Super Regional Champions, Qualified Seven for the State Wrestling Tournament, went 10-3 in Duals, and had two State Place-Winners.
The Ridge View girls basketball squad looks to continue their winning ways this winter. The Raptors compiled a 12-10 overall record last season, including a 6-3 mark in the Western Valley Conference.
