The Ridge View girls’ track and field squad traveled to Storm Lake on Friday, to participate in the Buena Vista University Indoor Meet. The Raptors performance was highlighted by a first place showing by Madison Stowater in the high jump competition.
The Ridge View boys’ track and field squad made the trip to Humboldt on Friday, to compete in the Nielsen Family Indoor Meet. The Raptors made a strong showing, led by Isaac Goettsch with a first place finish out of 40 runners in the 60 meter dash.
The Western Valley Conference has released its selections for the 2023-2024 basketball all-conference teams. In girls’ basketball, Ridge View senior Madison Stowater was named to the first team. OABCIG freshman Jenessa Kolar was selected for the second team.
Three members of the Ridge View wrestling squad qualified for last week’s Class 1A State Wrestling Tournament in Des Moines. Conner Jacobson grappled in the 150-pound division, Kody Jacobson in the 175-pound field, and Blake Myrtue in the 190-pound division.
