The Ridge View girls track and field squad had a successful night at the state qualifying meet in Holstein on Friday. The Raptors qualified for the state track meet in six events.
The Ridge View girls track and field squad captured first place at the Rebel Relays in Sloan on Friday. The Raptors scored 188 team points, more than doubling that of the second place finisher, which was host school Westwood with 91 points.
The Ridge View boys track and field squad captured second place at the Rebel Relays, hosted by Westwood High School in Sloan on Friday. The Raptors scored 133 total team points, second only to West Monona with 153 team points.
The Ridge View boys golf squad captured fourth place out of seven teams at Meadows Country Club in Moville on Tuesday. The Raptors were led by Aiden Martin, who fired a 40 to take home medalist honors. Levi Albers shot a 45, followed closely by Gavin Vohs with a 47. Brady Clausen and Cayden Clausen shot identical scores of 51, followed by Ethan Mason with a 52. Ridge View shot a total team score of 183. Kingsley-Pierson won the meet with a score of 171.
The Ridge View girls track and field squad found success in Ida Grove again, winning the OABCIG Coed Track Meet last Tuesday. The Raptors scored 148 team points, compared to second place Fort Dodge with 96 points. In the 100 meter dash, Hannah Ehrp took third place in a time of 14.03 seconds, while Kiara Dutler took seventh place with a time of 14.47 seconds. In the 200 meter dash, Gabi Mason captured third place with a time of 28.35 seconds, while Taya Phillips took seventh place with a time of 29.69 seconds. Mya Henningson turned in a time of 30.96 seconds.
The Ridge View boys golf squad captured second place in the Western Valley Conference golf meet on a windy day at Quimby. The Raptors shot a team score of 161, just two strokes behind first place OABCIG. Ridge View was led by Aiden Martin, who fired a 38. He was followed closely by Brady Clausen with a 40, Ethan Mason with a 41, Gavin Vohs with a 42, Cayden Clausen with a 43, and Levi Albers with a 46.
The Ridge View boys track and field squad captured first place in Ida Grove last Tuesday. The Raptors scored 246 team points, compared to 203 points for OABCIG and 78 points for Boyer Valley. Isaac Goettsch won the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.07 seconds, while Kade Wright and Austin Wood took fifth and sixth place with times of 12.64 and 13.17 seconds respectively. Payton Wittrock took fourth place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.37 seconds, while Travis Wiese took sixth place in a time of 25.94 seconds.
The Ridge View girls golf team captured third place last Tuesday at Kingsley. The Raptors were led by Emma Vohs, who fired a 53, followed closely by Beth Mentzer, who shot a 56. Emma Mentzer fired a 66, followed by Addison Voge with a 68 and Kiersten Volkert with a 71. Ridge View shot a total team score of 243. Westwood won the meet with a score of 208, followed by Kingsley-Pierson with a 210. River Valley finished in fourth place with a 266, followed by Lawton-Bronson with a 307.
The Ridge View boys track and field squad captured first place at the OABCIG Coed track meet on Thursday night in Ida Grove. The Raptors were named co-champs after finishing in a tie with IKM-Manning. Brody Deitering won the 100 meter dash for Ridge View with a time of 11.99 seconds. Earnie Clayton finished in sixth place with a time of 12.42 seconds, followed immediately by Isaac Goettsch with a time of 12.47 seconds. In the 200 meter dash, Tyhler Kolpin took fifth place with a time of 24.94 seconds.
The Ridge View girls track and field squad captured first place at the OABCIG Coed Track Meet on Thursday night in Ida Grove. The Raptors scored 187 team points, compared to second place Lawton-Bronson’s 128.5 points. Ridge View took second and third place in the 100 meter dash, as Shae Dutler finished in 14.05 seconds and Hannah Ehrp finished in 14.22 seconds. Gabi Mason won the 200 meter dash for the Raptors in a time of 28.23 seconds, while Ehrp finished in sixth place with a time of 29.05 seconds.
