Ashley Kenkel recently began work as the Parks and Rec Assistant Director for the City of Holstein. Kenkel is working from the Lohff-Schumann Community Center, and is helping the new Director, Josh Jensen. Ashley, who started on Oct.
The Holstein City Council met on Nov. 6 at City Hall. Council members in attendance were Terri Schimmer, Bonnie Stevenson, Christine Wiese, Rod Regennitter, Jamison Voss (present by phone) and Mayor Kathy Breyfogle.
Novemberfest was the 28th annual pork loin supper put on by St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Holstein on Nov. 5. Over 1,000 carry-out meals were sold to the community of Holstein for $15 each.
