Craig Rasmussen, owner of The Small Engine Barn, has always had a passion for fixing things. In his repair shop, situated a few miles north of Galva on Highway M25, he works on a wide variety of equipment.

The Galva-Holstein Board of Education met on Monday, Feb. 12 in the Schaller Media Center Board members in attendance were Grant Aschinger, Don Kalin, Tara Ruble, Jamie Whitmer, and Matthew Wittrock, as well as Superintendent Adam Bisenius.
The Holstein City Council met on Tuesday, Feb. 13 in City Hall. Council members Bonnie Stevenson, Jamison Voss, Christine Wiese, Marcus Prell and Terri Schimmer were in attendance, as well as Mayor Kathy Breyfogle.

The Ida County Supervisors and Home Base Iowa Family come together to put on a special event on Feb. 19 at the Skate Palace at 3:30 p.m. There will be refreshments and a presentation. Home Base Iowa Connects Iowa Businesses with qualified veterans and their spouses.
