Ridge View Prom plays the Las Vegas theme on April 13. With rolled dice and playing cards and large chips decorating the south gym, the students all were having a good time.
The National Honor Society Induction for Ridge View students was held April 11. The current members put on a program that was very professional and elegant.
The chamber, Mayor Breyfogle and other community members supported Dunkin’ Donuts at the ribbon cutting on April 11. They are now open for business in Holstein at TA truckstop.
Coming soon to Holstein is the Farmers’ Market once again. You will find it at the same place on second street. Kick-off market is June 4 and every Tuesday thereafter from 4:30-6:30 p.m. For the Kick-off market, the Holstein Betterment Foundation is providing the meal as a fundraiser for their downtown projects.
Holstein Fire Department sponsored an EMT class in Holstein. Classes started in November and ran into April. The classroom portion has completed and now the state and national testing will begin. Class picture taken last night of class. Six towns were represented in the class. 5 from Holstein, 3 from Washta, 1 from Quimby, 1 from Cushing, 1 from Galva, 1 from Royal.
Elizabeth Conover is located in Holstein. She was raised on a farm outside of Holstein and has lived here for the majority of her life except for the time she was away for college. Currently she resides in town with her husband Derek and their 15 month old son Kenneth.
Ridge View Prom has a Las Vegas theme coming on April 13. Starting at 6:30 p.m in the Ridge View High School South Gym, you will see the Ridge View seniors in their finest gowns and suits strolling the Grand March. From there they will convene to the Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Holstein for a meal and a Dance.
