The Ridge View baseball team hosted Storm Lake on Wednesday night, making up a rained out game that was scheduled for the Raptors’ season opener on May 19.
Ridge View got off to a fast start, jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, then building a 5-0 advantage after two innings of play.
The Ridge View softball team made the trek to Wall Lake on Thursday, for a rematch with East Sac County. The two squads had met up on June 28 at the Alta-Aurelia tournament, with the Raptors claiming a 9-7 win over the Raiders.
For the first few innings, the contest had the feel of another close matchup. East Sac struck first with a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Ridge View countered with a pair of runs in the third, for a 2-1 advantage after three innings of play.
