The Ida County Fair Queen contest is celebrating the 40th Anniversary at this year’s fair. The 2024 Queen Contest will take place on Wednesday, July 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the grandstand.
Lucia Salazar from the Entomology department at Iowa State University shared their tarantulas with the Stubbs Library program on July 9. They set up at the Rec Center in Holstein where they had lots of room for all their tarantulas. Salazar explained,
Joyce Rasmus, along with husband Kurt, are the owners of Rasmus Realty at 100 East Main Street in downtown Cherokee. Joyce sat down recently for a visit about their business, and mentioned some of the other people helping make it a success.
Summer is officially in full swing. Heritage days have happened, it was a blast. The 2nd & Main market has finally begun, the 2024 summer is happening as we speak. As summer blows by, we still have so much more to come, and wait for… like the Ida County Fair.
It’s county fair time again! The 101st version of the Cherokee County Fair will take place on Wednesday, July 17 through Sunday, July 21, at the Cherokee County Fairgrounds in Cherokee.
