Letters From Home-50 State Tour is an exciting show coming to the Rosemary Clausen Center on March 28 at 7 p.m. This tour honors and uplifts veterans from all generations and will definitely make all who come smile and have a good time. The tour started in Florida in January and then headed west with the Rosemary Clausen Center being the 23rd stop, managing to hit all 50 states by the end of May. The only Iowa stop is special because the proceeds go to the veterans of Ida County.
Nicole Boyle (Wholehearted and Healthy Physical Therapy, PLLC) presented to local women in Holstein at Francis and Co store on Feb. 20. She led women in a plan to help deal with hormonal changes in the body. Hormones can create incredible changes in the body. Boyle stressed to recognize hormone changes such as irritability, anxiousness, digestive problems, excessive cravings, fatigue, loss of muscle mass, weight gain, low libido, and mood swings.
The Divas3 gave a great performance at the Rosemary Clausen Center Saturday, March 4. A nice crowd enjoyed the show.
The Divas3 are powerhouse Las Vegas vocalists who perform the chart topping hits of the greatest divas in music history from the 1960s through the 1990s. Their three-part harmony arrangements pay tribute to some of the era’s most iconic artists including Cher, Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, and more.
SCHALLER - After U.S. Postal Inspectors determined a residence in Schaller was receiving deliveries of THC, two people have been arrested on multiple felony charges including a firearms violation.
The residence at 407 East 3rd Street, Schaller, was suspected to be receiving packages THC edibles.
After postal inspectors notified the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, officers undertook surveillance with Juliette Munoz, 28, grabbing the packages. Officers then sought a search warrant, which was executed at both the house and at an outbuilding.
Kristina Cronin opened up Francis and Co. for all your baby needs in Holstein. She has been in business for five months now, opening up in September. Francis and Co. is named after her two-year-old son. Cronin states that she took ownership of the building and did a complete remodel. She has since been serving the community well with all your baby needs. Cronin says,
Golden Horizons of Ida Grove is hosting the 2nd Annual Ida County Health Fair on Wednesday, March 8 at the Cobblestone Event Center in Holstein, Iowa. Doors open at 11 a.m. with a free lunch being available from 11:30 to 12:30, sponsored by Denise Van Dusen of Farm Bureau Financial Services.
Starting at noon, three speakers will share information and knowledge on the topics of “Caregiver Burnout”, “Fall Prevention” and “Advance Care Planning.”
Ridge View High School’s Speech team attended the District Speech competition in Moville at Woodbury Central High School on Saturday, Feb. 25. Performers who earned a #I rating will advance to the State Individual Speech contest in Fort Dodge on March 11. The Ida County Fair will be here soon. July 18-23 are the dates. The Open Class Coloring contest picture has been chosen, you can pick it up from the Ida County Extension Office. Coloring pages may be colored with any coloring media. To enter the picture (or any other projects you so choose), come see us at the South end of the Exhibit Hall at the Ida Co. Fairgrounds on July 18 from 4 to 7:15 p.m. You will need to show your season fair pass to enter projects! Projects are released on July 23 at 4:30 pm.
