As the statewide unemployment average climbed up to 3.7 percent, Ida County beat that with 3.3 percent.
Cherokee County led the region with 2.8 percent, tying Plymouth County, while Monona County was slightly higher at three percent. Buena Vista had 3.4 percent, Sac County stood at 3.5 percent while Woodbury had 3.9 percent, with Crawford County seeing the highest in the region at 4.5 percent.
Iowa’s rate was up from 3.6 percent to 3.7 percent as the national rate was 4.1 percent.
