Getting the rigs shiny for the parade

   Volunteers with the Holstein Fire Department got together last Thursday to give the department’s rigs a thorough washing to get them ready for the 2025 Holstein Kinderfest Parade on Saturday.
   Holstein Fire Chief Billy Fraser said the task was taken on as part of the department’s monthly practice session in which the volunteers are shown how to run each vehicle and how to use them to fight fires.
   The training sessions take about two and a half hours; the vehicle wash added some time to that.
