Ida County received its first shipment of the Moderna COVID-19 vac-cine Dec. 22. Horn Memo-rial Hospital began vac-cinating its healthcare workers on Dec. 29.
Ida and Sac Counties COVID-19 case counts were up slightly. Ida County went from 682 to 701, while Sac County went from 1,022 to 1,046.
Andrea Niemeier and Sherry Gebers retired from Farm Bureau Finan-cial Services Dec. 31. Gebers had been with the firm 12 years. Niemeier worked in the insurance industry since 1986.
