The Holstein City Council voted on Tuesday, Sept. 24, to rebid the town’s Wastewater System Improvement Project with the intention of reducing the cost of the project.
Work on the roof of the Holstein Elementary will be seen coming up as the Galva-Holstein Board of Education gave its approval for a bid of $134,350 for work.
On Sunday, Sept. 22, 42 residents of Kastner Drive gathered at 5 p.m. at the Lohff Schumann Rec Center to enjoy a potluck supper. The theme of the party was ‘Sailing Along on Kastner Drive’ to celebrate the newly-resurfaced street.
The Holstein Kiwanis donated funds to purchase a replacement batting cage at the Lohff-Schumann city ball fields. The club raises funds to help all children, focusing on the local community.
