Logan Hot Shots members elect leaders

The September 26th meeting of the Logan Hotshots 4-H Club was held at the Ida County Fairgrounds. The hosts of the meeting were the Hoffman and Johnson families. The meeting was called to order at 5 p.m. by the leader, Trisha Hoffman.

Roll call was taken with 28 members and nine guests present. All the members at the meeting introduced themselves and their family members. Trisha handed out the club program for members to sign up for presentations and hosting at meetings.

Officer elections were then conducted. The newly elected officers are: President Hannah Yockey, Vice President Hannah Weeda, Secretary Mallory Tomlinson, Treasurer Tyler Friedrichsen, Reporters Anna Hoffman and Ella Hoffman and Photographer Vanessa Neumann. National 4-H Week was then discussed. It was approved to spend $50 on window painting for 4-H week. The 4-H week skating party was set for Oct. 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. Danny Weeda made a motion to pay $200 for the supplies for the new show ring sign at the fairgrounds. Trisha reminded members to re-enroll in 4-H by Nov. 1. She also talked about helping to set out pumpkins at the Halloween Hike Oct. 16. The meeting was then adjourned.
