RV has rough week, loses four games

Ridge View’s baseball team lost four games last week to send their season record to 3-17.

Woodbury Central scored five times in the fifth inning to set the stage for its conference victory over Ridge View in Moville June 21.

The Raptors took a 3-1 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning, where the Wildcats plated five runs to take a 6-3 lead.  The Raptors mounted a comeback in the seventh inning, scoring two runs to pull within a run at 6-5. 

Aiden Martin and Zander Ernst had three hits apiece for Ridge View. One of Ernst’s hits was double. He also had two RBI. Caleb Kistenmacher, Austin Degen and Karlo Weldon had two hits apiece.  Kistenmacher and Weldon both drove in one run. Logan Gross hit a double. Dylan Wood and Tyhler Kolpin both hit one single.
