RV collects first win with second half surge

After a scoreless first half Ridge View scored 26 points in the second half to subdue Fort Dodge St. Edmond in a district football game in Holstein Friday. It was Ridge View’s first win of the season.

“The first half was very ugly for us,” noted Ridge View coach Dale Tokheim. “We only ran 25 plays and nine of those were on our last possession when we took over with about two minutes to play before halftime. We had several possessions start inside our 10-yard line and we spent most of the first half inside our own 30."
