Ridge View softball team plays seven games

Ridge View’s softball team played seven games in seven days prior to June 8. During that stretch the Raptors were 2-5, which left the team with a 4-8 record overall and 3-6 in the Western Valley Conference.

Ridge View cruised to a 12-run, four inning conference decision over Lawton-Bronson in Galva June 1.

Coach Scott Phelps noted the win shows his club is continuing to improve as the season advances.

“The coaches were happy with the 12 hits we had,” said Phelps. “From top to bottom, our line-up put the ball in play. We still need to clean-up some of our fielding and pitching flaws to be a competitive team, but we are heading in the right direction little by little.”
