Ridge View celebrates homecoming this week

Ridge View High School celebrates homecoming week this week. This year’s theme is “Ridge View in Paradise.”

Thursday, Oct. 3, is a busy day at Ridge View. High school students dress for class paradise: seniors-tundra, juniors-Hawaii, sophomores-jungle/safari and freshmen-aquatic/under the sea. Elementary students will wear their favorite t-shirt.

The Galva-Holstein Education Association will be grilling beef and pork burgers before and during the homecoming parade from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Holstein city park for a free will donation.

The annual homecoming parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Parade entries need to be lined up at Holstein Super Market beginning at 6 p.m. This year’s grand marshals will be Don and Linda Friedrichsen.

The parade route is as follows: East First Street to Main Street, south on Main Street to East Maple Street, east on East Maple Street to South Altona Street, south on South Altona Street and loop around the park and end at the corner of South Lubeck and East Maple.
