Raptors take down Sibley-Ocheyedan 24-6


The Ridge View Raptors football squad completed a final tune-up for the playoffs with a 24-6 win over the Generals of Sibley-Ocheyedan. The victory improved Ridge View”s record to 5-3. The Raptors will travel to Treynor on Friday night to take on the 6-2 Cardinals in the opening round of the class 1A playoffs.

Ridge View opened the scoring at Sibley with a 2-yard touchdown run by Cade Harriman. Brody Deitering added the extra point kick to make it 7-0. Later in the first half, Harriman added a 6-yard touchdown run. Another Deitering kick made the score 14-0 Raptors at halftime.

In the second half, the Ridge View defense tackled the Generals quarterback in his own end zone for a 2-point safety and a 16-0 lead. Harriman would add a touchdown pass to Deitering, as well as the 2-point conversion pass, to make the lead 24-0. Sibley-Ocheyedan would add a late touchdown to make the final score 24-6.
