Ida “Lorraine” Dungan, daughter of Paul and Lucille (Ericksen) Nepper, was born on June 18, 1948, in Ida Grove. She grew up in Ida Grove and graduated from Ida Grove High School.

After high school, Lorraine went right to work. You might remember her smile from the Tip Top Café or the Bowling Alley where she worked in her early years. She then started her career at GOMACO and worked in the housekeeping department for 31 years.

On Dec. 4, 1998, Lorraine was united in marriage to Arlen “Mac” Dungan in Elk Point, S.D. The couple made their home on an acreage outside of Ida Grove. Lorraine enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing, traveling, garage sales and country music. Lorraine and Mac would travel to take in shows and concerts in Branson, at the casino, the Clay County Fair and more taking in some of music’s greatest performers.

Family was important to Lorraine and she adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
