Human trafficking can happen here, cautions Sister Fineran at RV sessions

Sister Shirley Fineran of Briar Cliff University and a native of Odebolt presented a program on human trafficking to Ridge View High School and Middle School students and to the public in separate sessions at Ridge View High School in Holstein Nov. 5.

Fineran, who is director of field education and assistant professor of social work at Briar Cliff, founded the nonprofit Siouxland Restoration Center, which is developing Lila Mae's House in Sioux City, which will help women who have experienced sex trafficking.
