Galva-Holstein School District voters to decide building addition future

Voters in the Galva-Holstein School District will head to the polls next Tuesday, Dec. 11, to make a decision on whether or not to issue bonds not to exceed $12,285,000 that will be used to construct an addition to the current school building in Holstein.

The polls will be open noon to 8 p.m. at Lohff-Schumann Memorial Community Center in Holstein and the Galva City Council Chambers. In order to pass, the bond issuance must receive at least 60 percent voter approval.

If approved, the bonds would be used to build, furnish and equip an addition to the current building in Holstein, including a gymnasium, industrial tech facilities, classrooms, related remodeling, security improvements and site improvements.
