FCA delivers $5,000 to Holstein Development Authority

The Holstein State Theater has been honored as a source of pride by First Cooperative Association and Cenex®, the energy brand of CHS. As part of this award, the Holstein Development Authority will receive a $5,000 grant from the cooperative.

For the last several years, the Holstein community has worked together to preserve this hometown monument run almost entirely on volunteers. As the stage to many family movie nights and first dates, the Holstein State Theater has been a centerpiece in the community since 1927. This theater is just one of 10 movie theaters left in the country of its architecture style.

As part of the honor, the Holstein Development Authority received a $5,000 grant from First Cooperative Association. The organization will use the money to update the theater’s sound and projection equipment so that movies can be enjoyed by the community for years to come.
