E911 board approves tower bid

The Ida County E911 Board approved bids for the communication tower July 20. The board met at the Ida County Landfill site, where the 322-foot tower will be constructed. The tower will serve county entities and will be used by EMS, fire and rescue and law enforcement.

Alpha-Wireless’ bid total of $88,398 was approved. The bids included a SLR8000 Fire Repeater for $24,559. a wireless link to the landfill tower for $29,285. a XPR2500 utility base for $9,203, a VHF Consollete Controller for law repeater (including the antenna system) for $14,474 and a Dual Band Consollete for $10,876.
